Province - Two campus freshmen were applauded for their honesty in disclosing to public one thousand peso bill they picked up somewhere in Nakagang junction on July 26 here. Mrs. Amelia O. Wacangan, Principal of Sabangan National High School - Data Annex witnessed the sincerity of Rachel Balatao and Luvdeveca Angeles, both SAHS first years who handed such bill to Mrs. Imelda Dominguez, a business woman near the area whom these students trusted to safekeep the amount while waiting for claimants. Francis Balacuit had approved this day (June 20) the sectioning of this class lobbied by the administration and faculty. Such interest to split the class had called the attention of the school community when the first year enrolment had reached 71 mark this week which indeed a very big class to be handled. It will be recalled that the school has been consistent in maintaining 50+ number of students per year level despite the presence of the four national high schools in the municapility. Mr. Rodolfo M. Pepe had presented to the Vicariate's administration last week the enrolment status of the school where said grant was given to the school as a result of the follow-up measure employed personally by him. Prior to this, the school director Fr. William Billag Jr had informed the faculty of the greater possibility of sectioning when he learned from same group the disadvantage of confining this figure into one class. According to him, sectioning is of great advantage yet there seemed disadvantage in the budgetary requirements as to run regular class to be managed by a new teacher. But despite the believed hindrances, such request for sectioning came to reality. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SCHOOL POPULATION GROWS BY 5% Builder Lightstream on 06/12/2008 at 12:10 pm Uhr As of press time, a total of 216 students were enrolled this school year 2008-2009 which represents 5% increase in the school population. This was disclosed by Mr. Rodolfo M. Pepe Jr., the school principal. Last year's figure reached 206 upon enrolment closure on June last year. Such increase at hand was brought about by the lower year's number that had surpassed the normal and ideal classroom population set by the vicariate mission schools' board. Meanwhile, the breakdown of the enrolees was as follows: first year - 71, second year-58, third year-40, and fourth year 47. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SAHS FACULTY REMAINS INTACT Builder Lightstream on 06/12/2008 at 12:07 pm Uhr Composition of San Alfonso High School faculty remained strong when all teachers had re-applied for the same assignment as classroom teachers for this school year 2008-2009. This was according to Mr. Rodolfo M. Pepe Jr., the school principal who bat for deeper sense of service along with the teachers' passion in realizing the school's vision-mission. "I am indeed happy to be with same qualified and competent staffs who are service-oriented in their teaching career," said Mr. Pepe. "Such passion for service is the key factor to innovative teaching in which the spirit of oneness on the other hand calls for a better collaborators in the learning workplace." Mrs. Joan O. Ramel is this year's first year adviser along with Mrs. Edna G. Licayo, Mr. Rodolhp A. Balangue, Mr. Winfred W. Felimon, the second, third, and fourth year advisers respectively. Mr. Lesio P. Gao-ay is in charge of the library and the science laboratory while Mr. Chester T. Cosape is the computer teacher.
